I'm Andre van der Heever. I'm 19. I'm studying Business Management at the University of Pretoria, running a frozen chicken delivery business, helping launch a waterpolo school with my best friend — and somewhere in between, I started A+ Syrups.
The idea was simple. Every cafe in South Africa pumps imported, sugar-loaded syrup into their flavoured lattes. Diabetic customers can't drink it. Keto people skip it. Health-conscious customers grit their teeth and order plain.
There was no real local, premium, sugar-free alternative. So I built one.
